Designing has a long existence since our ancient history. We can find the traces of various designs engraved in the walls of several caves, or we can also see Buddhists scriptures which are beautifully designed. Graphic designing came into practice as a need to fulfill the requirements of the modern days. It is a process through which visual communication can be made to deliver messages. Graphic design is the usage of typography, illustrations, and photography.
A graphic designer has become the need of the hour. Every company hires a graphic designer to stand out in this era of the competitive market. A graphic designer has to play various roles and is supposed to think out of the box to satisfy the needs of his customers. Graphic designing is commonly used to create the logos of the brands which creates visual impact of the brand in the minds of the customers. As we know that what we see stays for longer than what we hear. Therefore, the brand loyalty is majorly dependent on its logo. We have seen people are willing to spend more for the specific brand’s logo as it gives the feeling of royalty.
Graphic designing can also be used to create visuals for the editorial magazines in which various texts, symbols and images are combined to give a catchy effect in the eyes of the customers. It is also used by the entertainment industry to add an extra effect through visuals and VFX. It creates aesthetic approach and gives a texture to improve the marketing. A graphic designing is more inclined towards an emotional connect as the designer has to align his ideas with his client’s understanding so that he can deliver as per their expectations because every business gets’ exposure first through its logo, but he should also be well-versed with the usage of different software and designing tools.
He has to possess some skills to master the art of graphic designing. He should have a thorough understanding about the usage of colour, tone, page layout, typography etc. Every designer should complement the client’s psychology to his perception for creating a design as the main aim is to communicate the message of the brand. He should not create a combination of infinite types of texts, font style, picture etc. which ultimately diminishes the true essence of the message which is required to be delivered. Every design should be crisp and precise without hampering the original message.
Eventually, every design he creates gives a visual presence about the company and create awareness among the customers about the services of that particular brand. Therefore, it will not be wrong to state that his client’s fate lies in his hands, and he should not miss out on the slightest details which can easily be observed by the users and hence can be proved by a common saying- “A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS”. Nevertheless, it is an art which can be mastered by the hit and trial method and also by a lot of experiences.
